Fantastic mornign spent running in the rain and gaining positions on other clubs for Round 1. Amazing baking too. See you all at Round 2, Cirencester.
Dear lovers of mud, finally after a summer of baking hot weather turning the ground as hard as rock, we are only a week away to getting back to the muddy stuff!
Event 1: Sunday 4th November
Meet: Didcot football club at 09:30, leave by 09:40
(this is great for lift sharing as car parking costs £4 per car)
Venue: Newbury showground RG18 9QZ
Mens race 11:20
Ladies race 12:00
Need to bring: Didcot Running top and safety pins to attach your race number (PS you keep this race number for all 5 runs - do not throw it away!!!).
You may wish to bring a towel and change of clothes, possibly some gloves and a hat for running in if it is that cold).
You may also consider upholding the club tradition of making a cake / nibbles and bringing them along.
What is provided: Hot water to make teas and coffee (the instant kind); as coffee is always best drunk from a mug rather than plastic, please provide your own!
I will also bring bread products and dips. We have a tent for our runners to change in and generally huddle together for warmth.
Footwear is always a tough question for those new to it. My preference is for trail shoes that have a deep tred and rubber soles, some prefer spikes. What sure is that if you only have road shoes, you will find sections on grass a little slippery (just like doing Didcot parkrun in the wet). Not impossible, but you will lose a bit of time.
I hope to see you all there, fit a raring to go! But may I just make a little confession that I will be arriving direct to the venue as I am coming from London that morning.
Come along and hear how the money we raised will be spent by the charities we supported back in the summer. Earth Trust and Style Acre will be preent to receive the cheques alongside our main sponsors on the evening. Arrive at 19:00 for a 19:30 presentation. Small informal buffet supplied by members. @Didcot Town Football club
Who is coming to Cornerstone tonight for a Brainstorming meeting about our wonderful club. 19:00 start. Come for a glass of wine after work or simply a soda water and lets thrash out some ideas. Lets discuss what works well and what we could do better.Very informal, although ideas will be recorded and put to the committee to consider change.Read the document attached via email some time ago and also on todays news feed on Facebook to give you some ideas. This was my discussion with England Athletes officials back in May. all the hard work was done back then, come and see what you can add to this document.

Didcot Runners had a fantastic day at Didcot's play2 gives family fun day on the 4/8/18.
The children enjoyed free hair braiding and glitter tattoos compliments of Didcot Runners, and spent hours having hurdle, relay and speed ladder races . They also had fun with the parachute.
Thanks to everyone who helped. Keep your eyes out for our blue flag at future events.
Congrautlations to all that turned up to the Hooky 6 this morning. It certainly was a very hot one with very little shade. A massive club presence which is amazing. Take a rest and we will see you at the next Champiosnhip Race at Headington 5 at the end of the month.
