Season ’16-’17 Cross Country Results
It has been a magical and fun packed season, with runners persistently turning up to every single round. This shows in the overall individual standings, see the absolutely fantastic results below.
Ladies Team A Started the season at position 17 out of 43 teams, Finishing an astonishing 10th in the 3rd division.
(in the last round, Didcot Runners conceded the least amount of points, what a way to finish the season!)
The A team, and what a team that has been over the season, we started the season at position 11th and are now in the top 10 at 10th. This may not sound like we have not done very much, but we have held our position throughout the season, round by round looking out for other clubs to overtake and take the points. Keeping the team positive and having a full team helped the scores every time.
FINAL Individual Standings are as follows
Women Senior (out of 32) 18th Eileen Naughton -220 (+ 6 places from the last round)
Vet35 (out of 33) 22nd Clare Ludlow - 203 (+3 places from the last round) 28th Theresa Lamble - 333 (+10 places from the last round)
Men Senior (out of 64) 30th Ben Adams - 252 (+15 places from the last round) 60th Daniel Fisher - 606 (+ 20 places from the last round)
Vet40 (out of 63) 45th Andrew Forster - 417 (+ 9 places from the last round) 63rd - Jonathan Boucard - 739 (+ 17 places from the last round)
Vet50( out of 39) 18th Dave Knopp - 532 (+10 places from the last round) 37th Noel Francis - 728 (+ 4 places from the lat round)
Just a note of thanks to Sian Loveless, for really putting her best foot forward, Sian was only able to make a couple of the Rounds, but what an extraordinary effort she put in for Didcot Runners and for herself, Round 4, Sian came in 11th Lady at 27:12 Round 5, Sian came in 10th Lady at 31:36I wonder at how she would have done, if she had made the full season.
Congratulations to the winners of their categories. A thank you again to everyone. See you next season x
